If you're getting rid of it sell it privately. They will offer you $2k for it and then try to screw you on the new one as well. I just bought 2 new vehicles this month and ended up with 4 because the trade in prices these guys are coming up with lately are a joke. Down to 3 now. I would keep it though.

Take it to Car Max and get a free appraisal then you know exactly what it is worth. Much better than KBB.

Car max only does newer vehicles.... definitely not 13 yr old ones

I guess I’ll order a new bumper and tailgate and get a body shop to repaint the door then ride it on out into the sunset.
I wouldn’t mind a newer truck though lol just hard to go from having no note.0

I drive an ‘01 7.3 2wd manual with 350k. I only live 1.3 miles from work. I plan on keeping her forever or until someone offers me $10k (I’ve been offered $9k). She’s my tow pig and I have no qualms about hooking up to the gooseneck and hauling my Jeep 4000 miles to go wheel in Utah, Colorado, California, etc. We’re headed to Alabama and Tennessee this summer to wheel. She don’t get up and go real quick but she tows at 75 like she don’t have a trailer behind her.
I recently restored the cab. Keystone/LKQ has a value line for parts. I spent a whopping $500 on fenders, hood, grill and bumper. They fit surprisingly well. Floated the door dings and repainted the entire cab (minus the roof). One day, I’ll get around to the bed and rear bumper.

my buddy had a 2000 7.3 4x4 he was trying to sell in similar condition to yours for about 5K. he said he was getting too many 2500 offers or trades for bullschitt stuff. last i heard he was going to hang onto it for now and if someone asked about it on the street he would talk.

after all that shite you done to it you’re gonna sell it for 5k? Dude ride that bitch into the sunset and forget about the cosmetics. I would pay for mechanical things only and string that beauty out
