I just purchased a pair of composite toe ARIAT work boots. I would be surprised if you're unable to find a style that suits your liking.

Orthofeet Boots, about as good of a boot I've found in 30+ years of wearing steel toes for work. I wear them 75% of the time when I'm just working around the house.

Red wing traction tread lite. Easily the most comfortable boots I’ve had and I’ve worn a dozen different brands. The only drawback is they are on the heavy side but worth it to me. Give them a look

+1 on the Timberland Pro, I wore those the last 10 or more years of industrial plant work, I got them a half to full size larger than my size and put a pair of SpencoPolysorb sports cushion insoles in them, could wear them 12-16 hours without foot pain.

Where are you working?

The damn Danner steelyard series is absolutely amazing for concrete.

All day comfort. They dont make the slip on anymore but they still do the laceups.

If they can make their chelsea slip on with the steelyard sole they would sell like hotcakes.

The Chelsea leather slip on after oiling are butter smooth.

Steelyard:

They'll ship to you and free returns.

Since my last post about the Double H’s, the leather is now tearing apart from the sole in one spot so they aren’t as bulletproof as I thought. I’ve been really rough on them in their 3 yrs of use though. I’m still very satisfied with them and will buy another pair soon

I stepped on a piece of slag in my Ariat Rebars and it melted the glue that holds the toe rubber on and so now that is peeling off. It's mostly in consequential because the rubber on them is so thick.

I also bought about 4 or 5 pair of Ariat Rebar work pants to weld in. They are actually pretty comfortable and have held up better than anything else I've bought. Had a piece of hot slag land on the bottom of them and somehow didn't melt through to my leg. Think I got more fortunate than anything else. But it was going to do some damage if it got through.

The most comfortable steel/comp toe is the JK OT with honey sole in either 6" or 8". Heavy duty but comfortable and built by hand in the USA.

Stop outsourcing footwear to shithole countries like Mexico and SE Asia.

I buy a new pair of Thorogoods every year. Best made and most comfortable boots ever. Bought a pair of twisted x junk one year and the sole came apart. Don’t fall for the name or the hype.

Agreed.
With the zip up sides.
Bought a pair of these in 2018 for work in Kazakhstan and will never buy anything else.
Did take a day or two to get used to the higher soles, but again, will never wear anything else.
