If asking, it’s too late.

Lake Verret is north of Morgan City and close to 50 miles from the coast.

Don’t listen to these fools. Launch at Attakapas this weekend, head up past the blue roof camp (that’s me) and up bayou crab until you get to the bridge. Chunk a DOA under a 4 horsemen and straight slay the speckled trout. Good luck ya big cocotte.

BTW, you need to change the spark plugs on your generator. It took us 3 cans of starter fluid to get that thing running last time we squatted there.

Sorry for all the Amberjack guts we left in your freezer. We planned on using that for crab bait, but the incoming tide ruined our chances for a good catch. Hope the 6 pack of Bud Light we left on the kitchen counter made up for that.

Speckled trout in Verret are no longer a thing. The Northerns and salmon have chased them out.

Speckled trout never show up in Lake Verret. There's a real problem if they do.

If the gators don’t get em, the North Atlantic Trout will!
