Thanks for the kind words, ST1.
I've always enjoyed shooting guns, but especially handguns. In addition, I usually gravitated more to reading articles from handgun writers moreso than rifle writers. I started deer hunting w/ a Ruger Redhawk in 44 Mag. I read lot of handgun hunting articles in "The Sixgunner." Sadly, the publication is no longer in print. My brother in law old me a T/C Contender in 35 Rem and my handgun hunting got serious. Not many years later, I put away my deer hunting rifle. I added a 223 Rem barrel and started going on prairie dog hunts. The last 4-5 years have seen me moving away from Contenders and using XP-100 bolt handguns for all my hunting (except I still use a rifle usually for squirrel hunting).

Weatherby 30-06. Leupold 12X40 VX II scope.

Mostly hunted west Texas.

Missed one....buck fever!! Got him the next day, 11pt, my biggest ever and in snow. Beautiful day!

All of the others pretty much fell where they were shot. And there were many.

Good luck out there.

I really expected to see more Tikka shooters. I kept seeing comments about them and figured that many here owned/hunted with them.
