Growing up: Vernon Parish
Deer, turkey, yotes, squirrel, rabbit, dillos, fox, horses (wild), snakes, coons, possum, lots of birds.
Now: Pineville
birds (lots of hawks, and red headed wood peckers), couple frogs and my dog. There may or may not be a good population of deer in the woods behind my subdivision inside city limits.
Before I put up a fence we were all sitting out by the fire pit one night, damn skunk came up trying to get warm I guess... everyone bailed and hauled it in the house, he didnt spray, thank God, never saw him again.

i am trying to figure out whats making little digs all in the woods around my house..either a shite ton of deer or shite ton of hogs..they (the little ruts or digs) are about 4-5" and only 2 or so inches deep, but everywhere--whatever it was was probably looking for acorns
anyone know what it might be? im leaning towards deer or maybe pesky tree rats

That fox is still around in southdowns? I haven't seen him in a while.
Last I saw there was a momma fox and 3 pups. Saw that fox run up then jump through the air and snatch a pidgeon taking flight one morning. Very cool.

Common:
Deer
Turkey
Coyotes
Armadillos
Possum
Buzzards
Bald Eagles
Gray and Fox Squirrels
Beavers
Muskrats
Hawks (have a local sold white red tail hawk)
Nuisance cats
Free roaming dogs. (It drives me crazy when people just let their dogs have free reign over the countryside. But on a positive note they've all been well behaved. Heck, a great heeler kept showing up and eventually I started feeding him and put a collar on him. Stayed for two months and then one day I found the collar in the yard, never saw him again.)
There but with fewer sightings:
Gray and red fox
Road runners
Bobcats
Seen by neighbors but for some reason refuse to cross the road on to my land:
Black bear
Hogs
