I run 2 miles about 3 times a week
Im sporadic. Sometimes I will run 4 5k's in a week, the next week i might have one 6 mile run. I try to average about 15-20 miles a week, but it doesnt always happen. Been running the big loop and little loop at the lakes religiously (6.2 and 4.2 miles). Cept on Tuesday, thats reserved for Happys

How far is a little?

I just started running again, and I literally can't imagine running any longer than 2 miles.
I'm whipped when I finish.

I didnt for the longest time, then i started using the endomondo app.. It is very accurate ( i tested it with my car odometer), and will give you split times for every mile you run and its free. Now im down to such a science, i dont take my phone, and just use my stopwatch to know my distance. That or run a route that i know the distance. You really start to gain confidence and get better when you see your progression

I ran off and on for a couple of summers, but this winter im going to keep it up. My belly is starting to grow in my old age, so im going to have to stay active. That, and when you start running sub 20 min 5k's, it starts to get fun.

Yea been trying to get back in the gym for 2 months now, just cant get the motivation. I couldn't even run a 1/2 mile with damn near keeling over.

When I do want to keep up with it, I use MapMyRun. Before I quit the last time, I was near a 6:30 mile...now I get to start all over.

Its all about building that stamina. I take comfort in knowing that if i ever went hunting with one of you boys and a squatch/black panther/bear came at us, i would make it back to the truck.

Thats how it goes. You qiut for just a couple months and you start back over at square one. Running is something that must be done on a regular basis to maintain and improve your endurance.

definitely. It used to be free, and there are variations of it that arent as good, but the real couch2 5k works awesome for beginner runners. you just have to stick with it

I'd be lucky to run a mile maybe a mile and a half straight without having to stop to walk

You better be in front of me when we get charged or may mysteriously get shot in the leg. How fast can you hop them 2 miles.

We all argue about snakes id, buck sizes, cross bows, and the judge, but I would go with or take anyone of the guys guys hunting or fishing. I bet all of us together around a camp fire drinking beer and BS'n would be one helluva time.

Anybody off Thursday or Friday or next week that wants to take me bow hunting? All of our deer drowned in the flood.
