we're no different from any other board in the fact that we enjoy being jackasses from time to time, but the main difference in this board and a lot of the others is that there is usually a time and place for it. don't get me wrong, this board fricks off plenty, but if you post any of your info on here, there aren't 10-15 posters trying to find out every minor detail of your life.
it's all about common courtesy.
now, if you come in here talking about 'hioght dollar corn' and 'keepin the piece tween my uncle and pow pow', we are like a pack of vicious wild dogs.

I think it's because people that were taught to hunt and fish by their dads and pow pows were also taught respect and manners.

The fact that this board is a smaller community than the OT, but the discussion of hunting and fishing locations and outdoor experiences lead to a comradery that makes many feel comfortable sharing personal info. We tend to welcome new comers where other boards are so large newcomers are ignored or ridiculed…
Lots of diversity here and a ton of experience need a little help with a Cabo fishing trip or a Montana elk hunt people can point you in the right direction. Hell the ridicule was even held somewhat in check with the parachute cord knitting thread…

The guys name is Fap-n-Nap, so he already comes off as a bonehead. The ridiculous amount of posts he puts out may also be why you find him annoying; but he'll cool it over time and learn the difference between here and the OT.

There are an abundance of people on the other boards with self esteem issues. They over compensate for their shortcomings by being ugly to others.
I've been a lurker for a couple years now but am easing into posting and realizing I better stick to Outdoor board and food board.
