Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Maybe a bite or two. Bluebird canal.

First time fishing a jig. Just wasn't working. I could see bottom at the back of the canal.

Usually I don't care if I catch, but usually I get a bite or miss a couple. And everyone on the way out claimed they have 11, 16, 20 in the boat. Whatever. Try again next weekend

So you didn't change baits? You just trying to learn how to fish a jig? Should have went to spillway and bang the trees if you want to learn.

Got about 20 chigger bites on my legs. Worked at camp all weekend. It was a hot sumbitch.

Went to Venice intending to get in on the bass bite, guess I was a couple days late. Was very slow, lots of bass boats got the same memo I did, only saw one other boat set the hook, and the cleaning station was void of bass.

Yes, trying to learn...always just used a worm. Trying to diversify...lol

I did change baits. I tried punching mats too. My technique was off on that. I looked did catch a sac-a-lait on my crankbait...haha.

ETA: never been to the spillway...don't know the area

Tough weekend in Hopedale for the Valero tournament. Scratched out a few reds. Won a pile of door prizes, though.

In my lock-on this morning with my bow. Didn't see squat. I sweat a few gallons out and was almost carried off by the mosquitos. Carried my stand out before noon and scouted a few other areas for next time.

My new headlamp is badass, My new hip boots wore some huge blisters on my ankles.

Oh, and it looks like a got another stray cat:

Had a decent day Saturday in the spillway in and around Lake Murphy. Found a spot on the river side today where they were stacked on top each other sitting under lollies. Twas a good time.

I have one but the new bottle I put in wouldn't light this morning. Don't know if it's the bottle or the thermacell that's the problem.

Spent Sunday morning in Hopedale looking for reds. Two man limit by 11:00. Conditions were pretty nice.
