Old friend of mine blew the fricking floorboard out of my old 5.0 Stang with a 30-06 like that.
Almost blew his foot off.

When slickback got his ak, we went shoot it at the camp. I grabbed a clip/magazine and asked slick where the safety was. He said "I don't think the russians and chineese know how to use a safety"

i've been drilling this into my kids' heads. As you are hunting, check your safety's position, periodically.

Gun safety is easy and there is no excuse to be careless. I hate when I see people waving a gun all over and are clueless about it. Freaks me out

Agreed....I'll bitch someone out as I've seen a gun go off from my brother being stupid. You just never know.

You're a lucky man.

It happened to my brother teal hunting this year. Safety off moving gun around and he blew a hole in his pee-ro.

He's been hunting for 35 years or so and always has been a safe hunter.

I would have loved to see that....I'da been talking about him for the next 44 years

I know a guy who shot himself with a shotgun pulling it muzzle firs out of his truck. Thought it wasn't loaded. Luckily it was fine shot and he wasn't hurt that bad, but it could have been worst.

BE SAFE DAMNIT

I'm gonna get a new trigger for it and put a hammer block safety on it so this can't happen again. I'm buying rifles with 3 position safeties from now on.

This - - - (and keep your muzzle pointed in a safe direction, and keep your finger off the trigger until it's time to shoot).

I did a rotation at the Harris County Coroner's office in med school and we had a case where a guy died because he pulled his rifle out of his suv barrel first and it discharged into his abdomen. Always remember safety.

That's pretty fricken crazy though. And nothing bothers me more than someone swinging a gun around carelessly
Thats when its time to separate myself from their presence. Got no time for people who are unsafe with their weps.

Got one in 6mm, 22" tube. You'll like it. Lightweight and accurate regardless of caliber.
