I have an opportunity to go on a discounted tuna trip with voodoo charters out of Venice in February. I’ve been tuna fishing before but in late October. Is February a good month to go?

One of the best months for lump fishing. Plus you'll likely troll for some Wahoo after depending on how the bite is

February is great fishing ……. If the weather lets you get out, lots of trips canceled because of wind, fog etc

Wahoo and big tuna. Will be in good shape with a charter considering the fog can be treacherous on the river..

Two years ago 3 buddies went on a cat in late January. They were back by noon with 7 wahoo. Smallest was 65 lbs.

Our best ever catches during this period at the Lump on back to back days we boated a 167 YF and a 108 Wahoo about 10 years ago. The amount of boats there now must be insane.
