I’m looking to mount one in my Ford E Tree Fiddy Van on this flat spot. What are some to look at? Are they universal? I’ll probably carry my vp9 in this situation that has a tlr-1 HL light mounted to it.

Not sure about that spot but my buddy has a uncle mikes holster mounted on the plastic that is right under the steering wheel of a f250.
He removed the screw that holds the clip and drilled a hole
In the plastic and bolted it up.

I use a gun magnet in a similar place. It holds my pistol just fine.

Saw an ad for Vulcan Arms Mounts. I'm looking to mount either in a similar spot or in the center console (as shown on below).

Tell everyone we know each other and we’re friends, I don’t want folks mad or me banned. Both examples the other posters mention are excellent btw.

When you open mount like that it forces you to wear or hide it when ya get out

If not they are gonna smash and grab if they see

Hid in a center console is good for me

I kinda thought about that but this van doesn’t really have a center console. It has a open area under the drink holders but idk that it would mount in there. I liked that spot because it is the fastest access but I might do it under the steering column area.

In my Sequoia I have a magnet fixed up under the dash but on the center console portion. The gun is attached to the magnet in a horizontal position.

If someone looks in the truck there is absolutely nothing to see mainly because the steering wheel is in the way and secondly the interior in that spot is black (as is the gun Glock 19).
It’s very secure there.

I just put a Highway Holster in my truck. No drilling and it's very secure. You can also use it with a lower cost nylon holster.

I've been looking one where you didn't have to drill holes. The Sticky Holster caught my eye. So did this one just now. Are you pleased with it? Easy to install? You put it in the driver side of the console I assume, or?
