Do you need a pistol or a boat anchor?

Gosh the Mk 23 is pricey.

I have the follow on to the USP compact and love it.

I have a USP in .45. Great gun. Single action trigger leaves a lot to be desired but I may replace that at some point. More immediate for me though is getting a new threaded barrel for the gun so I can run it with my silencer that is in jail.

I want an MK23 bad but they are not cheap. Would rather have the SP5 before the MK23

A buddy of mine owns one. It is indeed a tank and runs like a champ. It is a niche gun so whether its for you depends on what you're looking for. If you like big .45s then it is up your alley. If you're looking for a cool gun, a range gun that will fire 45 super or suppressed and size doesn't matter, shop around for it. If not for any of those reasons and you want something regular full size or compact from HK the USP45 tactical or the HK45 Tactical and compact versions would do you very well.

They had one at Jim's recently. It lasted 20 minutes on the sales floor. I tell you HK fanboys remind me of Porsche guys. They'll snap it up price be damned.

get a VP9 like a normal person. it's 2020

the MK23 has no place in today's handgun world Too expensive, too big, too dated

USP was king back in its day

No experience but I'd like for you to get a mk23 just because it's your money and not mine

Mk23 is a crew served handgun, haha. I think the MP-7 makes far more sense for the purpose.

USP is a cool gun.

USP45 Compact with stainless slide, carry it in waste band couple times a week, eats anything you put in it.

I have a USP 45, DA trigger is bad, SA is OK, it's a true go-to-war handgun. I've handled the Mk23, the trigger is not much better. I've had the opportunity to pick up a Mk23 and passed, it's a gun for H&K nut-huggers.

Could never get along with the USP trigger. I've heard the VP9 is a better weapon.

No knowledge of the MK but unless you're trying to attach a suppressor on it, why get it?
