Now priced at $389 which still is a great value in my opinion

This will be my 2nd Tisas. I've owned a Bantum 9mm Commander sized 1911 for a couple years now (below) and I have nothing bad to say about Tisas' quality and fit. I got it on sale for under $600 and it goes for around $1000 these days. So far, I've found them to be great guns. The Turkish have been upping their game for a long time (Canik, SARS, Girsan have all been proving themselves nicely in the last decade). I have no problem recommending a Tisas.

Been thinking about getting a Tisas DS carry 2011. They get pretty good reviews and it’s $650 entry into the 2011 game. They use prodigy mags.

Picked up one of those a few months ago and so far, it has done well. I am going to replace the plastic grips with some hand made wood ones with wood from our property.

I've seen a couple of videos where they don't like hollow points rounds much. Feed issues

Any experience?

I ordered a new pair of Rosewood grips for like $25 before my Tisas 1911A1 even arrived

How much did that one run you? I like a flush fitting mag for 1911s and maybe that's purist in me

Tisas Tank Commander 1911 9mm

I have owned this one for a few months. I paid $419 + tax. It runs just as well as my 5 other 1911s that cost $899 - $1,100.

Tisas is legit!

I will never buy another firearm from Rock Island Arms. I bought a shotgun and it wouldn't fire out of the box. Their customer service is worse than Walmarts if that's even possible. It took them almost a week to reply to a warranty question. Had to pay a new transfer fee to send them the shotgun and will have to pay to receive it back. So a total of 3 transfer fees. Never again

Why? because they swapped it out or something?

I've mailed guns before (my guns that I got back) and didn't have to pay that?

horseshite that they did that though.

I asked them to reimburse me the transfer to send the shotgun back to them and the one I will have to pay when I receive it back. "that unfortunately falls on your shoulders"

I said "that's complete and utter bull shite I have to pay those additional transfers for a shotgun I can't even fire and never have"

Crickets

I haven't even sent it back and it's been 2 months because I'm so pissed off about it. I know if I try to do anything to fix the issue they'll call it my fault and void the warranty

what kind of shotgun?

And, I'd call your credit card company and ask what their policy is on disputing a charge.
