Alright Baws, I'm about to pony up and buy a toolbox for the shaggin wagon. Two main things to consider here:
1) what brand tool box have you liked and which ones to avoid
2) what tools should be in the tool box based on what you have needed in a SHTF scenario?
I've got some in mind already like air pump, tire plugs, jumper cables, tow straps, ratchet straps, ratchet set, screwdrivers, etc. What else would you be throwing in there?

A hammer. If you can't fix it with that, you have an electrical problem.

Some brand of pliers (Channel Lock or something similar depending on your preference)
Set of pliers that have slip joint, needle nose, and side cutters).

what an oversight. If it can't be beaten back into place or duct taped it cant be fixed.

RKI steel. I welded d-rings to mine for extra tie down points.

There was a thread a couple of weeks back where I listed most of the stuff I have in mine. It was about necessary truck tools IIRC

I keep mine inside the truck so jackoffs won't go squeezing it off in the parking lot of Baskin-Robbins

My Truck Tool Bag has
- Channel Lock, Needle Nose, and Linesmans pliers
- Small pair of wire strippers
- 6" Crescent Wrench
- 6 in 1 screwdriver and one 1/4" Flat and #2 Phillips
- Painters Multi Tool
- 16' Tape Measure
- Hammer
- Duct Tape and Electrical Tape
- Spare Construction Calculator
- SAE and Metric Hex Key tools
- Razor Knife
- Bag of disposable Nitrile Gloves

Think that's everything. Its a pretty small bag I got at Home Depot that fits nicely on the floor of the back seat

A cheap little ratchet set. I cannot tell you how many times I have used mine.

Harbor Freight had a similar one one sale a few months ago for about $30. Yeah, I'm sure the quality isn't the best, but for a get me out of a jam in the truck/trailer box I'm sure it would be adequate.

Not sure what kind of vehicle your Shaggin Wagon is but if it’s a pickup I recommend the the C series crossbox by Rawaon Koenig.

I had a deep one and carried a ton of tools in that thing.

If you do a cross box put some steel angle or get a headache rack with steel angle to go on top of the bed rails. If you hit a bump at the right speed those cross boxes can crack the bed rails.

Most everything else has been covered. But necessities for me whenever I get a new tool box: Go to a furniture store or something of the sort and get some carpet scraps to put in bottom. They are usually pretty cool about giving those away. Keeps stuff from sliding around as much. Next it always like to get a little mag lite (especially if it's a box where it can ride in the little space over the bedrails) always handy to have a flashlight nearby.
