i love when its drawned down like this. It is by far the best time to get out there and mark all kinds of stuff.

I have a few pics from when it got down to 159 about 8 or so years ago.

I remember that. All that water in the second pic was land. We went out there and cleared that whole area so we can pull the kids on the tube.

I am not a huge fan of the low water because makes idling around looking at structure tough with all of the exposed timber.

I think you found Hoffa's body in that first pic.

If I ever catch a big fish I am going to keep it in that barrel for a tournament. Just kidding.

Is that a prop on a shaft with atleast one of the gears on it with the clutch dog?

Wow, I do not want to mess with that stump!

I actually drug my boat back home. I am probably not heading back until after the first cool front comes through. Once that happens it will be on.

I'm hearing good things, but my boat is 3 weeks out from getting in the doors at Toledo Fiberglass. It's out of commission until it's fixed.

Build up some brush piles around your dock so that you get 'em when the water comes back up.

I wish. Even at full pool we only have around 6' of water on the dock. That little cove that is about dry is about the same. One year while we were building our place there was hydrilla in there about 3'tall. We would sit on the bank with shiners in the spring and catch as many huge crappie as we wanted. Never been like that again.

Caught my biggest bass when the lake was that low or lower. Late 90's down on the south end right next to the public launch on the Texas side. Just past midnight with a June bug worm Texas rigged. My buddy fished a couple of nights before and tore up the bass on spinning baits. We set off around dark and only caught a few. I gave up and started drinking and let him know I'm in no hurry. He said we'll fish along the bank that's heading toward the launch. He fished for about thirty minutes and I said the hell with it, and tied on a worm. Hard to fish both techniques, but I gave it hell. Could only get a few bounces off the bottom and then reel in. I bounced it once felt a tug, let it sit, wasn't sure, then eased the slack out and felt another. Gave it a heave hoe and fish on baby. Fought for about 5 minutes, that's a whole story in its self, but I digress. Pulled it along side of the boat and my buddy lipped it with his hand. He hollered so loud it would make Mike I. jealous. Another CSB.
