I have never been to Toledo Bend. I am thinking of taking the wife there and relaxing and/or fishing for a few days. Can anyone recommend a nice place to stay that is on the water?
Thanks
Thanks

Stayed once at Wildwood Resort, good access to water and nice fishing pier.

We stay at Holly Park sometimes, and Huxley Bay. Just stay away from Jolly Rogers.

That's important. It's a big, long lake that really fishes like 3 different lakes.
Wildwood is a good mid-lake spot. I like Huxley also mentioned above, but that is TX side on the North End. Cypress Bend has good access to mid lake and the South end. I heard Pirates Cove was open again on the sure enough South end.

There are cabins on the water at both La state parks - south and north ends of lake.

At cypress bend cabins right now… nothing special but confortable with private boat launch and easy access to mid lake

We stayed at Harborlight last year in Palo Gaucho. Not fancy but comfortable and there is a launch there. Decent fishing in that area.

I am looking to stay on the Louisiana side, and I have no idea where anything is to be honest.

Several years ago we stayed in a place near Zwolle. I think it was Shady Oaks Lodge, or something like that. It was several new(at the time) log cabins for families. Very nice place and very nice people, just off the lake about 100 yards or so on a canal.
