Yeah details are starting to come out.

They are definitely on pace to make this an example.

I heard today -- and this might be Bovine Scatology -- that the reason there has been no press release yet, is that they are reviewing camera footage and drawing up tickets for each incident of baiting.

And that they basically worked on it all week and by the time they knocked off work on Friday they had documented 200 violations. And they're still working through the data.

Is this the place the “coonass” from Louisiana owns and built a bridge across the palmara chute without COE approval? If so, them Mississippi Baws going to be real big mad now.
Sesrched swamp donkey on La Sec of State site but didn’t come up with anything I thought would be a winner.

Naw baw.

NWLA. I’m not putting the name out there to catch a timeout. If you are bored enough you can find it.

This happened? I've been hunting with a friend off Palmyra for a while now, and never heard of this. We've been lucky the last few years - timber coming out means barge for the truck instead of the mud fest.

what a classic example of a new money. Tara, Davis Island, Giles island, Winters Quarters anddddd "Swamp Donkey".

Hope they throw the book and the pen at them.

Wrong side of the river. But owners are all from LA, so, kinda. And I don’t think it was a bridge.

SD owner has had run-ins with the law before according to the web. Must not have turned out too bad if he was able to buy that place.

Will try to find and post link.

Swamp Honkey would’ve been cooler.

They’ve killed some nice deer up there this year based on their FB posts.

What is the deal with Southside club? See a share for what appears a very reasonable price. Get the bottom flooded out a lot?

I have some funds I will be 1031 with in next couple years and a share spot is something I am thinking of looking into. Not sure I want the political/ member drama though.

Well, it all depends on how you define reasonable. I think the bottom is one big swamp anyway.

Compared to other shared clubs. But like I said, I am assuming the bottoms are usually flooded and can't be hunted a lot of times. They also didn't disclose the number of shares so thinking maybe that number is high as well.

LINK
Thread has some great info on Ms river share clubs. Initial buy in is just part of the costs of ownership. Every prospectus I have read looks like it was written by the same person; 170’s taken, limits of mallards, friendly and family oriented, year round use.

Thanks Kemo, as stated in there, as CWD increases I do think it could negatively hit the share clubs a lot. Especially if the feeding ban stays in place or expands and deer quality drops. All the river clubs I have been on feed protein heavily or did.

Between CWD and possible new legislation on OOS hunters/landowners in a lot of the Midwest states are liable to make things tough.

The river doesn't effect the deer hunting that often. Takes a pretty high river

I did a little googling and found an old listing. Looks like it’s about 25 shares on 3100 acres.

Yea I inquired and that was the answer, doesn't seem too bad but that is assuming the bottoms can be deer hunted and that seems to be iffy.

$400,000 and taken off market is what I found. None of the listings I found had any dates on them.
