Just put some KO2s on my Tundra. The place that put them on aired them up to 38lbs. In all my other AT tires I'd air them up to 40 lbs.

Was going to air them up to 40 but the side wall says max is 65 so I didn't know if I needed put more air in them or not.

So, I come to the OB.

Thanks

It depends… I used to run my tires around 40 on my Sierra but now run them around 35. I’ll air them up if I’m going to load it down or haul something but it rides better at 35. You could do a chalk test to figure out the best air pressure but I never messed with that. Just keep an eye on it to make sure it’s wearing evenly.

Side note, I used to run 35-40 in my E rated tires on my Jeep TJ before I learned that optimal with those tires is more like 27… the difference in the ride was life changing

I have 50K on my 35s Toyo M/Ts on my Tundra, and I have decided the KO2 will be my next tires.

Mine are around 38-40 depending on the weather.

I also have the K02's 275/70R18 on my Silverado and I love them.

The label in your door tells you the proper pressure. Best bet is to go by that unless it exceeds the max pressure on your actual tires, which it shouldn't.

I always go to recommended tire pressure on the tag on your door. I got a set of 10 ply A/T’s one time and tire said 80 psi max so I put about 60. Broke all 4 TPMS at once

32 - 35 psi on the highway or back roads. 17 psi in the mud or climbing rocks. That KO2 is a whole different animal off road when you let the air out, it’ll climb trees.

Best way to determine that is the chalk test.

Chalk is best.

I used to run my kos at 40 in front and 35 in rear.

If you wanna get real fancy you can drive to a truck scale at a truck stop and weigh your truck for ten bucks.

Look up your tire chart and adjust air pressure based on chart and weight on each axle divided by 2.

I was all was told to air them to what ever the sticker in the door says. I have a JK Rubicon that came with 32” tires and the sticker says 38psi. I put some 35 BFG KM2’s on it about 6 years ago and decided to run them at 27psi. They ended up scalloping the outer lugs. I’m fixing to put some of the new Toyo R/T Trail 35’s on it and I’m I plan to run them at 38psi just to see if it makes a different in the scalloping of the outer lugs.

27 was probably a little low for a JK, especially if it was 4 doors. You can probably go less than 38 with some 10 ply tires but I probably wouldn’t go lower than 30-32… and just keep an eye on wear. I believe scalloping could be something else too though.

Door sticker only good for stock sizes. Go by the sidewall as load carrying capacity greatly decreases if you under inflate. On a 65 psi tire I probably wouldn’t go lower than 50 light truck then air up if carrying a load

Too new to tell at this point. Got the truck back around 2 and drove home and then to my sons trap practice.

I was expecting them to be loud but they were not at all.
They’re 275/60 r20 and on a 22 platinum.
They look much better than what came on it.

I’d say 35-40. They will beat the shite out of you more than that.

I will add on my old diesel I run and ran on a set of ko2 like 70 front 60 rear. And yes it rides like a gd log wagon.

About 35, I think. Haven’t checked lately. When does a tire pressure alert go off in a 2019 f-150? I will usually get an alert on cold mornings until I get them warmed up.

Use a tire chart + chalk test. Depending on the load rating and vehicle weight, proper operating pressure will vary.

P rated tires reach full load capacity at 35psi. E rated is usually considerably higher based on vehicle weight and more ply.

The "sturdier" tire has higher heat retention.

I’m on my third set on my ‘06 Jeep Wrangler.
Did the chalk test, best pressure for me is 28 psi.
I do a five tire rotation every 5K +/-, average 80K a set.

I have some 275/60 R20s on a 2019 Tundra 4wd Limited that I've put 15k on the set.

I'm at 35 psi currently, I felt like 40 psi was rough. I haven't done the chalk test yet.
