Good lawd they high! Seems like a lot of money to spend on hunting clothes you use 3-4 months out of the year. I guess its a look at me type of clothing.

Is First Lite as reliable as Sitka?

I don’t know anything about First Lite. I do know about Sitka, though. You can’t beat the quality of Sitka. I have had a pair of bibs since 2012, and I haven’t had a single problem. All the zippers and seams are still in great shape. I haven’t torn them yet either. The only problem I have is that they are getting a little tight on me now when I layer up a lot.

My understanding on the warranty is that they will fix any problems with seams and zippers. Maybe more, but I haven’t had to ask.

Do you bow hunt or just box stand hunt? I know deer are color blind but they see shades and outlines so I would think that an all black blob in the tree would stick out to them.

Either a box stand or sitting on the ground. I sit on the ground/walk alot. I guess black just looks like a shadow, it definitely works. Some vertical stripes would maybe help but if you are still you can wear whatever you want. I've worn black duck hunting and did fine also when I was standing in the water.

In a stand, I just wear whatever. Blue jeans and a tshirt pretty often. It doesnt matter

When I sit on the ground I do try to pick my backdrop since I'm at eye level with the deer. This weekend I was sitting on the ground I wore all brown and sat by some pushed up logs/dirt on a headland. Had a doe pass about 30 feet from me with nothing between us and never saw me. Being still > any camo. Also had one see me from 200+ yards away when I turned to aim at them.

If I had to design a camo pattern it would be the exact same as a brindle dog. Those bastards can hide anywhere at any time.

Agree. He went from having the appearance of endorsing and selling stuff he already used and liked and not being too big of a gear pimp,to selling booze just because he has a big enough following to do it. Strictly marketing.

He’s still better than 99% of the hunting personalities out there though. The only personality I like as much as Rinella out there is Will Primos. I like him because I know him to be a genuinely great man.

That said, I’ve been knocked on here before for pointing out that Rinella is politically left of most on this board.

Has he ever come out politically though? I thought he seemed pretty conservative, basing this on the first 50 or so of his podcasts though which we're yrs ago.

It would be strange if he didn't like getting money. I wouldn't judge him on it. It's my opinion that he's conservative.

You've been bashed for this before because you can't provide anything to back it up. Nothing on his Podcast or show suggests anything to that effect (and I've listened to every episode), unless you're counting his support of public lands.

And if you don't support public lands as a SPORTSMAN or outdoorsman, then you can kindly frick off.

I don't get the hate he's he getting for the Whiskey. I'm not gonna buy it, but I get why he's doing it. It's a novelty item that some of his most hardcore fans are going to buy. I think the Gnome toting a Unicorn items are more ridiculous than the Whiskey. But other than those, I haven't seen many changes that I don't like since they became Meateater Inc and started growing the company.

I've been wanting to put my hands to some FL gear, but I just can't justify spending that kind of money. Maybe I'll pull the trigger on the base layer with the hope that it lasts many seasons.

They have a sale right now. I purchased a Sanctuary jacket and bibs. Can't wait to get home and try them on.

I can't think of anything more fitting tbh.

Also, in one of his podcasts he pointed out that only liberals seem to have celiacs disease . But he isn't obsessed with ARs so he must be a LiBeRaL.

I think that is the one I have. It is heavy and has a soft outer shell?

Yeah, it’s like wearing a sleeping bag.
