looking to get a cheap truck to tear up for work. dodge seems to be the cheapest. hemi v8, 4x4, and real crew cab not the 4 door double cab for less than 30k before haggling. seems like a great deal. Also find some nissan titans around the same price.

My dad had one for a while and never had any issues.

I spoke to an acquaintance that works at a ford/dodge dealership and he said the fords come back to the shop way more and the repairs are usually much more expensive.

I have a chevy now but it is near 200k. lots of issues are starting to pop up. They seem to be pushing the double cab with no legroom for the same price as the dodge full crew cab.

I have a Ram. No issues at 66k miles. It has the best ride of the big 4, however it also has the lowest resale.

Driving a Dodge is like screwing a fat girl. They get the job done, but you don’t want anyone in town to see you riding around with her.

They feel pretty cheap. The biggest complaint I have is that they have the lightest arse end of any pickup I've ever driven.

There are still going to be issues with any of the big manufacturers, but I got a 2001 Ram 1500 in the late summer of 2000. I drove it all through college, then my Dad kept it for a work truck a few years, and then gave it to my Uncle. He finally traded it in back in December of 2015. Never had a major problem in over 15 years. Just routine maintenance. The only reason he finally got rid of it was that he needed a 4x4 and wanted an extended cab.

yeah, ride quality is important to me. I drive alot also, which makes it even more important. Also, resale isnt that big of a deal as I usually keep my vehicles for a long time and I expect anything that I sell i the future will have high mileage. My biggest worry is getting something that has constant issues.

are you talking about the interior? the reviews I have read have all talked really good about the interior quality.

If crew cab and 4wd weren’t important, I just traded in an 06 Silverado with 140k miles. I’m sure Hub City will be selling it pretty cheap. They better, after what they gave me on trade in.

They may have improved the interior on the 2017 models, but I had a Big Horn for work and it was pretty cheap (much like almost all Chrysler products). Not sure if their high end stuff is good quality.

Gas burner....I don't know. But if you're diesel shopping it's the only one to buy.

People who drive the new rams like them

People who haven't owned one shite on them

That is how all these threads go

Which group do you think has a better idea?

The interior of the big horn is far better than it's other contemporaries

Far bigger inside tough screen

I drove a chevy from 02-2012- great reliable truck

Then got an f150 to replace it because they seemed to be the most popular....piece of shite with nothing but trouble for 2 years

In 2014 I shopped them all instead of listening to opinions of those uniformed. Chose the ram based on performance reviews and my own research. Am at 60k plus miles with no issues ...

I would stay away from this board, which is normally great, on truck recommendations. For some reason people seem to fight to the death for "their brand". And dodge actually let ram break away, and completely revamped their line. So those old opinions are exactly that, old

I personally am not brand loyal at all and will shop around with each new truck

I'm driving a Duramax Denali 4x4 that exploded the high pressure fuel pump at 20k miles.

They all cost more than they're WORTH.
