Neither have I, but like I said earlier, it's a contributing factor to buying one.

I'm not trying to be an a-hole dude, but I don't understand how the height of the rod tip being 2 feet higher while I fish standing up will eliminate any of that if I apparently have no idea what I am doing

You don't understand that having a fishing pole/fishing line in the middle of the boat can cause problems for other people?

Our seats are in the very front and very back of the boat.

You touch an igloo the wrong way and a hinge breaks

Had the same issue so I welded a weathergaurd to the floor of our bateau and installed the coleman inside

But can your ice chest survive cliff falls and axes? I think not. Those are all attributes critical to an ice chest.

the point is that I buy a Yeti because it is sturdy, extremely well built, and can hold ice well (as can some cheaper ones). Yeah they're expensive, but If I can afford one then who cares? I don't own a YETI sticker, piece of clothing, nothing, just the cooler itself. I've had dozens and dozens of other brands over the years, and guess what? they're in the garbage somewhere

I put some new hinges on an old ice chest to attach the lid and it lasted the entire summer. We'll see how long it lasts.

Not really no. Like I said, not trying to be a dick, but I have fished a 16 foot boat with 3-4 people sitting and standing and never had any issues like that. Wouldn't one person standing on an ice chest cause the same issues?

How is it that every damn Yeti thread turns into a 10pg argument of why one cooler is better than this cooler?

Exactly.

The Yeti is like some sort of lightning rod for the OB for some reason.

Like I said, I own 12 other brans compared to 1 Yeti. People act like a YETI is the same thing as an igloo and just hate to hate. Have you ever seen a broken hinge, lid, drain plug, ANYTHING on a YETI. The answer is no, bub. Unless an igloo or coleman is less than 3 months old, every hinge will have been replaced. Convenience costs money, and when I'm fishing and hunting, convenience is what I want. Im out. Peace

They didn't freeze the ice from the inside out!

A good Yeti thread is always fun. I don't personally own a Yeti, but I have nothing against them. I'm just not OT rich so my ice melts faster than all the Salt Life Ballers...
