In this case and in the case of your scope, certainly it does
I actually like it better than my VX3. It has more features, same quality glass and internals, and much cheaper.

Let's talk about knives. Sure I can get a Sebenza for $450, but why would I when my $120 Spyderco Military has the same metal, and is tougher? The Sebenza looks cool and comes with a fancy, well known name in the knife community, but what's the point?

Yeti fanbois are Yeti fanbois. Keep drinking the Kool-aid. There are cheaper, better options out there that fiat can drive his jeep on

You're lucky it isn't in a Coleman. Just wait a couple of hours and it'll be melted

Did you or did you not say you have one Yeti that you bought for $75? Seems to me if they were the end-all be all of ice chests, you wouldn't have waited until you could get one for $75

No what I am saying is the only reason he owns one is because he got a ridiculously cheap deal on it. Yet he is calling others cheap or whatever when he's not willing to pay full price either

is this serious? A YETI is way tougher than a coleman and they aren't even close to being made the same. Your logic is skewed my friend

I'm not going back to find whatever he said, but if he was willing to spend full price on one, why did it take beig able to get it for $75 to finally make the purchase?

yeah when you can actually compare the two objects. 2 knives with the same blades, same metal, sure your best bang for the buck is the cheaper. If the coleman was the same quality and material of the coleman, than the coleman would surely be the better deal, but they aren't the same and the price reflects that. You feel me bro?

Where was it said I waited? I thought we went over this assuming already?

I purchased that yeti around 3 years ago and it was probably 3-5 years old then. Its in as good a shape as a new one. I have no need for another one as there isnt anything wrong with this one.

If this one ever needs replacing, I will not hesitate at all to purchase another.

Are you guys debating the yeti isn't superior overall to a coleman?

Taking all into account, is it not a better overall product?

Jesus Bourg, this thread is about ice chests. It compares ice holding capabilities. I never said a Coleman was as strong as a Yeti. Apples to apples

All of what? It is an ice chest that is no better at keeping ice than cheaper chests, it's heavy, it's expensive.

I have Coleman's and Igloos that are over 10 years old that work fine. I've replaced about 3 latches.

Ditto. Replace the latch and hinges and we're good to go. I guess the Yeti group just throws them away.

So I'm guessing this is the OB version of iPhone vs. Android huh?

I say everybody just shut up and deal with the fact that everyone "prefers" a certain brand/style cooler over another.

I say, you go out and by whatever cooler you want that fits your needs or likes.

I personally have a Yeti, but I did not pay for it as it was a wedding gift from my wife. It's a 35qt cooler and it works perfect for me. I'm not keeping ice in it for weeks at a time so I don't care if it melts.

Some people swear by Yetis and some people swear by cheaper coolers.

The only cooler that is a straight piece of crap are the zipper bag type coolers that leak water after 10 minutes.

So, go get your Yeti, Coleman, K2, etc. and use it for what you want to and stop trying to hate on someone because they don't like or want to use that brand/style cooler.

The butthurt comes from people that dont have one or cant afford

I can afford a yeti for every corner of my house but I wouldn't because they are heavy and don't hold ice as well as other chests I have.

So where does my butthurt come from?
