I'm not busting your balls or anything but that avatar holds the same algorithms as someone who posts a lot of BS over on the Poli board...

You're a grown man and can afford to "find out" if thermacell works, right?

Hey, do lithium batteries work longer in flashlights?

Yes.

Do not use it in an enclosed space though - I developed vertigo like symptoms and headache doing that.

Yes it works and I’m blown away by the amount of people that have never used it.

I’d rather leave my bow than the thermacell on an October bow hunt in Louisiana

Might be the best piece of hunting gear in the Southeast other than your weapon.

Yes. Works VERY well for mosquitos. Not so much for gnats in my experience. First thing I pack for a weekend like this upcoming.

We must have a different breed of mosquitos in Florida. They land on the fricking thing here.

I WILL NOT leave my house without my thermocell to go hunting. Unless it’s less than 40 degrees, I’m going home if I forgot it. I do find that it only really works if you’re sitting still. If it’s anything other than deer hunting, I’m just gonna spray on the deep woods off and be done with it. But yes, thermocells absolutely work. I forgot to mention, I keep a backup in my backpack because I have dropped them in water and they quit working. They’re too cheap to not have 2.

I shite you not I ended up not hunting one evening after a 2.5 hour drive because I didn’t have it with me. I couldn’t find my thermacell I thought I had with my gear in my truck. This was like the second day of bow season and hot as hell.

I used to hunt my arse off in early bow season in the month of October. I’m 37 now and may only make 1 or 2 hunts in October if a little cool front comes through. Just not as mad at them anymore. I’m pumped for the season in general starting though.

Praying we have a cooler season. Last 2 years have been steamy. 3 seasons ago was legit. That’s the year we had all those freezes in mid December and early January.

They work for everyone I know. Just a little breeze and you might as well turn it off.

I don’t know how we did it in August before Thermocells and especially Bug Tamers.

I crank mine up and put it beneath my turkey seat for the predawn to early morning sit and wait. Does fine as long as there is no breeze which there usually isn’t until later in the morning. Temps over forty it goes in the deer stand too. The two things I have to have are thermocell and good binocs. Gun and ammo are optional.
