We have two under build today. About 75% finished. Reebedoo and his FIL came in last night. Good people.
Looking forward for the rest of the builders to show in the morning.
I will have hot coffee.

Saw this recently and thought about this thread. I had seen shortened versions of this video before, but not this full length version.

Don't worry about the glue, if it spills or runs on your pirogue , it is nothing a little sand paper, chisel, side grinder , pry bar and a chain saw can't clean up

Y'all couldn't ask for better weather

Fish,
I'm sorry Andrew and I couldn't come help on this go round...He had homecoming game last night and Dance tonight...
It plum slipped my mind to let you know...Life has been getting in the way of things...Hope your strength holds up...I'm laughing as I say this, cause you ran circles around all of us on the last build..the energy...I don't know where you find it...

Yeah...there's glue. Everywhere. Fish's slab is guaranteed to never crack with as much Aerodux we have spilled and smeared out here

Got some free time today with the wife and baby out of town so I started to work on my boat again.

It's been great. Team work like the first build.
Come spring if I'm able, there will be another build.
Got a few pictures, but watching the game and wiped.

Dat sun doe!
Dem boys gonna be crispified after the weekend...
I'm kinda glad we prepared for rainy weather with our build. Big covering kept the sun off us once it did come out.
Lookin good yall! As BP said, enjoy the weekend. The finished product of the pirogue is just the lagniappe part of the experience.

DaHammer, have you gotten bored and tired of seeing mine unfinished at your place, and finished it for me yet? Hahahahaha!

Well, another great build, meeting new people that are like mined good people. All went home with a new pirogue that still has work to be done.
Still, over all everybody stepped up to the plate and took care of each other as needed.
That takes a big load off me.
I do have a bunch of pictures, but just way to tired to down load from my phone. I will post them up in the next day or two.
Miss Wendy, Bill & Son did great. Even could nail. But we did have a nail pusher. Dahammer could take lessons on pushing nails.

Well, glad to be home, but what a great weekend it has been. Met some great folk from all around, shared laughs and beers, and even managed to build a pirogue along the way! All thanks to fishfighter and his family whom opened their home for all of us. Was a wonderful experience for my father, brother, and I, as we haven't gotten to do anything together in such a long time while my brother was away for college. Can't thank you enough, fish. You're a hell of a guy for doing what you've done for so many of us.
