Looked like a great time. Nice looking boats, hope to join in if a Fall one is planned.

Fish has been an inspiration to all of us. Despite his serious heart condition all he thinks about is helping others. He never met Josey but rolled up his sleeves and went to work to help him and his kids. I was blessed to meet him when he came all that distance to Monroe for the auction/ fundraiser. Good to pass on to some his boat building art and heritage but even greater is everybody reading this can try to be more like him toward their fellow man and pass it on.

I already told my wife that Fish is hoping to have another "class" in the fall and I will be there, if even as just a helper.
It would be an honor if you and Josey Jr could make it to that one, JSM.
At least I'll be able to eat some of Mrs. Fish's fine cooking at the next one! Cause chicken broth and protein water just don't cut it with the aromas of all that great smelling food going around!

Morning guys. I'm still alive.
Thanks for all the kind words.
Now it just going to take a few days to recover.
Once I got to bed, I flew out of it with leg cramps. Downed a couple oz's of vinegar and a couple thousand mgs of potassium. All is good, but everything is hurting.

Thanks for all the kind words.

Was a great time...Fish and family are good people and I would be proud to have them as my own family...
All the OB regulars were all good people as well...we worked long and hard both days...and when Sunday rolled around and some couldn't make it back, we all worked as a team and did what we could go get most of theirs done until it got too late...
My weekend wasn't without incident(s) got 30 miles from home and a tire threw the tread damaging the passenger fender....got back on the road and 1/2 mile from my exit a tirefrom the drivers side blew tearing up not only the plastic fender but the aluminum trailer skirting behind the tire...still was worth whey minute of time spent...

Damn Pepp, sounds like you had an eventful ride home.
Glad to see your son helping you out there this weekend. That is something he can tell his friends about for a very long time.
As soon as I left Sat I called my father and told him all about what we were doing. I am going to build one with him and my brothers this summer.

His boy probably won't be able to lift his arms for the next week.

You are just the person I need. You father has the plans that our grandfather used to make his out of. He used to build them back in his day. H3 told me that our grandmother sold one of his pirogues after he passed away.
