I saw the box on either Q's or Interstate's instagram account.

Very cool.

And Downshift, talking about it not carrying well. The gun weighs like 6 lbs. Will be more with the heavier 6.5 cm barrel but still stupid lite.

Not if you get the Proof barrel. I was going to get the 6.5 version to start becasue I dont need another .308 but I was informed that the 6.5 version is real heavy with the Q barrel. So it will cost more for another barrel but the point for me is the light weight...so i'll have another .308 and get the 6.5 barrel another day.

The Q barrel is what I'm thinking about with the extra weight.

Yea I saw that. Was taking more about being awkward to carry with the mag, rails, stock, etc.

It just doesn’t look like it would carry very well hunting. But I know that’s not what it’s made for as much as being made for shooting. I just do a gazillion times more packing than shooting so it wouldn’t be for me.

Hell of a fine machine though. It looks like it’ll thread needles at 1000.

I plan to make it my go to hunting rifle 308/6.5/300wsm whatever the hunt calls for. I think it would carry well with the stock folded to the side where the bolt is. Might even move my Z8 like Carsons over to it from my rem700 308. I just want to see what else is out there as far as weight goes.

I want one so bad.

I’d get exactly what Carson did.
I built an AR-10 in 6.5cm. It is just an amazing round. All .260 diameter bullet maybe, I don’t know since I haven’t shot any others. My AR is less than .5 moa at 100yds but it’s stupid heavy (15lbs with suppressor).

ETA: I’m really curious to find out what their .338 creedmoor will be.

Yeowza that's a heavy gun. But probably don't feel much of a recoil.

Yea I was wondering too about the 338. Is that a wildcat round like he did when He worked his
Majic with the 300 blackout. Do I have my facts straight?

308 case doesn't have enough volume for power to sling a 338 fast. Maybe a big ol subsonic round only?

Yeah, AAC came up with the 300blk.

No info on the .338 yet. Really interested to see what they come up with.

AAC came up with the 300BLK as much as Remington created the .223 Rem. Refined may be a better term, although doing the necessary to skirt lawsuit may fit as well.

The .300 whisper has been around forever.

As for the .338 on a .308 case, .338 federal is IMO one of the coolest calibers out there. I like big heavy bullets and I feel like .30-06 and .308 should have been .35 welen and .338 federal.

As far as the ok Fix goes, I just can’t get on board with it. I’d need to hunt with one (hint hint Carlson) to really say though. Looks like itd Carry like shite but put bullets where the crosshairs were every time.

Feel free to take it out. Don’t see how it’d carry poorly though, it has sling slots, is lighter than a browning xbolt, and the stock folds if you want to carry it like that lol
