This October my wife will be getting a purse around $1500 and I'll be getting a gun for the same. We made a deal to hold off on buying any guns or purses until then. I've already bought 3 guns so I got her a $300 coach gift card so she could never keep her side of the deal:)

Doc you need to LEARN...
I have a lot of expensive guns and hunting related toys the keys to obtaining them are as follows join DU Delta quail forever go to the banquets ALONE and win GUNS wink wink.
I do a lot of sporting clays tournaments and they give away the greatest prizes guns polaris rangers boats.......
This only works if you dont share checking accounts or if you keep a secret kitty of cash. Go forth and enter contests.
I do keep an inventory of my guns and cost and values so if i die unexpectedly she wont think my collection is just a bunch of beaters and give them to my worthless relatives.

I'm just glad my wife is getting into shooting and loves my expensive guns as much as I do. Not that she doesn't have the expensive purses too, but she can see the value in the high dollar guns now and doesn't give me flak about it.
Matter of fact, we just got back from the range today and she is very much in the market for her own

No fricking way I'd ever pay that much for a purse. Luckily the wife would never want one that expensive anyway

I always argue that guns can save our arse and put food on the table.
A purse only holds her fricking tampons.
Now, I KNEW just the second response here would nail it.
