I bought a Sundolphin Patriot that’s 8.6ft. I haven’t used it yet but wanted a couple kayaks for wife, kids and I. Apparently from reading reviews the one I bought sucks and wife thinks it’s for people that know what they are doing. I want my second one to be a tandem kayak and she’s thinking I should go with inflatable one. Anyone have experience with those? I’ve never used a kayak only a pirouette but I’m the only one that knows how to paddle correctly also

Eta. May do some fishing, mostly screwing around on lake or creeks in north La

Let's start with your budget. Jackson Big Tuna is a kayak that can switch between single and tandem occupancy. But it is pricey.

I actually meant to add that. It’s not much. I’ve already spent about $180 or so on the first kayak. For the second one, a tandem, I’d like to keep under $400 at the very most but preferred under $300.

To add this will be thrown in the back of a extended cab 08 Silverado with a tool box. I planned on bigger one laying flat with tailgate down and smaller one leaned against bigger one and both strapped real well. Although if inflatable then I’d just need to secure one

Not this weekend, but maybe next. I'd like to start hitting Hwy 1 in preparation for the next tourney.

Picked up a few fatties real quick this morning in possibly the dirtiest water I've ever fished here.

Just read it was 26" and just over 6lbs. Unless he's getting it mounted that should be released. Hell, just take measurements and a picture and get a mount made.

I just read the comments. He said he hooked her too deep, and didn't think she was gonna make it.

Pretty interesting that he caught her on a chatterbait though.

No joke. I always forget that there is a kayak division for STAR. That may make me take it out more than usual this summer to try and find a few chunky trout.

I register every year, this year each division winner gets a Hobie Compass. There's an East and West trout fly division as well.

The lower drive where the prop is connected to the unit somehow pulled out. It’s like a cable in there. I talked to customer service and they told me that’s only happened one other time. I’m getting the updated drive with the new two prop system. Cruises speed will be 3.8mph and top speed 4.5-5mph hauling arse. Also should be getting the flex e drive motor soon. That with 24v lithium batteries, will be hauling 4-5mph
