No8 and I hit up lake Martin yesterday afternoon. Had several blowups on topwater but no hookups. Nice scenery and cold beer made it worth it though.

Pretty sure I would have pulled the trigger on a Ride when I was shopping for my second boat, but no one in La. had the exact configuration I wanted. I think I wanted the 115 with the better seat. I remember driving to BR only to find out the one I wanted was sold as i was on the way. Then found the Slayer 12.

Great pictures. I'm assuming that those were taken with a camera, not phone? What kind of camera?

You’ll have to let me know one day in advance so I can schedule a day off to go drink beer and perch jerk with you guys. I don’t know if I can keep up with you pedal guys though. But I can get up and going in the paddle yak. So I’ll give you a good chase.

Also fished Lake Martin yesterday, caught this 5lber on a Whopper Plopper and had a few other missed blowups from smaller fish. This is also my very first bass out of a kayak and probably the first bass I've caught in around 10 years.

Beautiful fish and congrats! I always tell people there are big fish in Lake Martin. People get frustrated cause they don’t catch numbers over there. Usually when I go, I’m not after numbers.

The very outter edge gets pretty grassy but the rest of the lake was clear.

This is true. But the fish live in the grass. So it can be a PITA to fish.

Sounds like a place for my post-spawn perch pattern.
