I'm excited as all hell for the bream to start bedding. I'll forget bass even exist when that happens.

I saw some bream beds in there. A bunch were up shallow and they were aggressive. They were killing my senko.

ETA: I also tried spinnerbait, crankbait, jerkbait, and frog for bass with no luck.

Handedness. Not sure I've seen that before.

Picked up my new boat yesterday. I had Pack & Paddle add the square hatch and move the circle hatch to the front. This weekend I'm going to try to install my battery and route my wiring for the Lowrance.

You won't be disappointed. I love mine and I am ready to get back on the water. I haven't been able to use it much recently since Louisiana has turned into a wind tunnel for March and April.

Mung and I are taking ours to a Red River swamp-lake this weekend. It's been flooded for tree straight years by the Red and is now clear of the vegetation that totally choked it before. Hoping the White Perch have returned. I am told it was once a great fishery.

Are you staying in Houma for that?

That's going to suck, I usually want to do nothing other than just crash after a tournament day.

I'm on call next weekend but I may tempt it and go fish anyway. I'd like to try a new route that I've never done before tournament day gets here.

Any suggestions on PAC tomorrow? Should I maybe try the nets then head north?

That's what I'd try, see if you can pick up some trout near the nets then work your way into the marsh.

I assume everyone will target trout first thing in the morning for the tournament?

That's what I'd suggest, try to pick up your 3 trout early since a full stringer trumps any non-full stringer. Then go look for your 2 reds.

PAC kicked my arse today. Had 1 bite the whole day. When will it get better?
