What’s the story? Anywhere to see one in person?
How do kickstarters work? If they don’t actually make it to production are you out $2700? I don’t think saving $800 is worth the risk of an unproven craft.

My biggest reservation is the drive... The Jackson rep there said it would push it 4-5mph, which is pretty damn good. We gern see

I'm skeptical on the 4-5mph thing, I realize that there's probably less surface area in the water and all that science shite but there's only so fast your legs will be able to push that drive at a decent cruising speed.

Everything is in transition here I think. I'll take some time off and wait for either my post spawn crappie pattern to get hot or a salt invite.

Pretty sure we're doing PAC on Sunday.

My buddy is taking a group out of hackberry today. I'll call him tonight and see how they did. I am about 80% sure I'll be there on Sunday. Just need to decide what part of the lake to fish.

Saturday looks like rain. Either PAC or Big Lake on Sunday.

Do y’all use ratchet or cam straps for traveling? I think I’m gonna try to get away form ratchets and try the cam straps out... which ones do you recommend?

The Backpacker has 15’ can straps for like $3.99 when I was down there. That’s what we used when we drove down to Coco and they held up great

I use both. I try not to strap it too tight.

I would think in a back of a truck with the yak being somewhat protected from the wind
Those straps will do just fine
But on a trailer going down hwy 90 I'd be just lil nervous

The back packer straps work great. I used them to tie my KC to the top of my Grand Cherokee back in the day.

Anyone ever fish off a paddle board? I sold my KC because I bought a shallow water boat and was thinking of getting a paddle board to fish off.
Would mostly be used to fish in areas like city park, or easy access salt water trips when I don't want to take the boat out.

OTOH, I really just strap to handles now anyway-never across the boat.

I use rackets but will probably swap to cam straps soon, I was worried about cams coming loose for a while. I have a few buddies who trailer and roof rack Outbacks and PAs, both use cam straps with no issues. I'm worried that I overtighten my racket straps and might cause damage eventually. I usually run a lock/cable through as well so I always have that as a backup plan incase a strap fails.

Yeah I think it was just the fear of the unknown, those ratchet straps are a PItA
But agree with Unc its time
Maybe I'll start with 1 cam and progress from there
