For anyone thinking of heading to Lacassine, this was the line to the launch this morning. Apparently both launches were like this. It may be a good idea to bring biscuits to sell!

How’s the yak situation over there? Is there a separate area to put in? I’d like to go one day but don’t wanna fight that shite show.

I have actually never fished it. That was on the LCKFC page this morning.
I beleive the refuge is split into different pools. Some are trolling motor only and some have a 40hp limit.

Forgot about that, since it's a refuge it's closed October 15th to March 15th. What a shite show.

One of my buddies went to the kayak only area. He said there was a ton of grass and nobody out there seemed too happy.

Of course... if i can’t fish, I think ima head to Gonzalez for outdoor expo.
I probably won't make a decision until Friday evening. The forecast keeps changing.

The kayak pond would be the only way I could go. I’m pretty sure my boat is over the HP limit. So, that sucks. Sounds like it’s like Lake Martin in the heat of summer.

We’re leaning towards going. Rain chances are Changing like a mf.

Last Saturday there was a 60% chance of thunderstorms. I ended up getting a tan.

Yeah I know. If I can at least get 2 hours in to learn the area I'll be happy.

Hit my favorite early spring night spot in the kayak for a bit tonight. Only measured the small trout (16”) and the bigger red (26.5”). Threw back a bunch of 14.5inchers.
