Katrina fridges, cause it was everywhere. Might have smelled something worse, but it would have been short lived for me to not remember.

Rotting whale skull, it made me puke. And, the smell of rotten shrimp doesn't bother me at all.

Old beer cooking in the sun. Even 6 month old meat juice after Katrina didn't bother me, but that beer smell was almost enough to make me yak

Dead guy we had to pick up. He was sitting in his recliner in front of a space heater in July. Been dead 2 weeks or so. You couldn't tell where he ended and the chair began. It was one large pile of sludge. And it was moving. Thousands of maggots.

Also, what was left of a guy that died in a car crash. Car had burned. All that was left was a charred stump. Couldn't eat barbecue for months.

To me, a rotten turtle has the worst smell of anything I've ever experienced. Like one found in a fish trap or something.

A duck. But it didn't smell all that bad, just smelled like a duck. Not sure why we have an entire thread about what ducks smell like!

A friend hid his fish bait in the sand overnight and dug it up the next day. I was too close when he opens that bag and came close to puking.

The other worse smell ever was when the turd sucker guys came to our house when I was a kid and opened the septic tank. I did puke.

The school cafeteria freezers in Vermilion Parish after Hurricane Rita. I will never forget how awful that smell was.

I've chest about half full of frog heads. Don't know how many days in the summer sun. But enough that when I opened it, it let out a nice hiss. I was 18. It was 29 years ago and I can still remember it

It was my dads brand new ice chest and we were not rich. I had to clean it.

Was doing some demo work and some dumbass open and spilled a Katrina fridge that hadn't been opened since the storm and it was almost a year later.. the juice went everywhere and multiple people threw up..

Think about it.. milk, raw meat, seafood, juices, etc all sitting in a fridge from august til June. I will never forget that smell

I held a cat while my wife lanced an abscess on his stomach. The puss that drained out of that abscess was fricking rank. Only thing that came close was the bandage she had to change on a horse's lacerated leg. The owner had neglected the bandage in summertime. The necrotic tissue that was sloughing off of the horses leg will never be forgotten.

Cat abscess was worse tho

Lady brought in her dead cat she buried a week earlier for a rabies examination. The only time in my life a smell has made me gag.

Close second is a ice chest full of left over crabs and shrimp discovered 3 weeks later.

The body of a pig in a garbage bag buried for about a month and then dug back up. I will never forget the smell and I immediately remember it every time bad smells get brought up.
