Family property.
The big joke is nobody really hunts.
We drink a lot and cook.

You considered getting a shipping container or two delivered? I think if a tree ever drops on this house, I'm going to start pulling in a shipping container or two every year and build it out with that. Think you can get one delivered for 2 to 3k.

1980s model 14x40 job trailer that was here when I joined the lease.
Buddy of mine brought in a 1990s model 14-40 and slid it on the side and built a 14-40 or so covered porch between the two. Porch has a a stove and fridge and sink with countertop and cabinets.
We only go in the camps to sleep and shower.
I joke that when we put the 50in flat screen on the porch to watch LSU we riase tax assessment value of all the surrounding property’s by at least 50%

I started converting a 16’x36’ high walled Derksen Shed into my camp. It’s moving along a lot slower than I intended, divorce very early in the process took away some funding. lol

Of the grid camp that I use a generator to power, collect rain water and filter it for water(don’t drink it though) and a 250 gallon propane tank for heat with a wall heater. Tankless hot water heater for shower. Starlink for WiFi and a projector to watch the footballs games Saturday night.

About 800 square feet with two rooms. A living area and a bunk area. Put a new roof on it last year.

6 houses spread out over 7K+ acres, 16 bedrooms with enough beds to sleep 45 (Lots of bunks). Normal weekend group is usually 10 guys, so we are quite comfortable. Extra space used for clients/family outings.

House on the pearl river south of Bogalusa. The sill at pooles bluff makes it too dangerous to hunt as far as I’m concerned. But it’s adjacent to Mississippi's old river management area and Louisiana’s bogue chitto refuge. Also about 15 minute drive to a 750 acre lease we have. I rarely go there. Can’t get the kids to commit to it.

Wild! If I had 750 just 15 min away I’d never see my son again. He’s ate up with it.
He also works for a trail cam company and looks at deer pics every second of every day! lol

My son refuses to hunt in Louisiana. I take him to a place in Alabama every year for a few days and he smokes their asses.

Got lucky with this one a few years back. Southeast Alabama. 2000 ac. 6 or 7 people hunt it and no one hunts it hard. Deer, ducks, hogs, and more turkey and bass then you know what to do with.

We normally hunt Arkansas, Texas and La. but hunting land in La is rare and a lil expensive. If we found the right place I’d invest. When my son was about six, my dad bought him his lifetime hunting license for the state of Louisiana. And he works for a Louisiana technology company so Hunting in the state is something he hast to do if he wants to hunt close to home or after work.
