A local farmer said he saw four bunches yesterday flying over flooded second crop near Welsh. Sure is early.

They are ganged up around me just waiting to leave....I have seen bunches lately. Meant to post this yesterday....I will try this evening to get some photos of the birds some of you will be shooting in a few weeks....assuming any from the pacific flyway meander to the east....

Man I love September...football, teal and dove and the fishing gets good again....no teal season here but we do have an early goose season and they are actually migrating geese, not right of way, golf course geese....and they are dumber than a sack of hammers!

We'd start seeing them in New Mexico this early...not bunches but some...by mid august they'd be thick....

I think you can add no football, too. Two out of four ain’t bad. Should have plenty of time for fishing.

We have a small flock that stays near my house pretty much year round. Pretty cool to see

I never understood why more don't just say frick it and stay in LA/TX. I mean they leave Canada in September, fly to Mexico and Central America, and then usually don't get back to Canada until May.

They’re birds. What else do they have to do?
