May be interested in a 12' utility trailer? I see a bunch of brands i know nothing about ranging from $1050 to $1600 plus. What should i be looking for/not looking for, anyone got brand or dealer recommendations. Northshore preferable.

the only planned uses for it would be my lawnmower when needed, i got a 4 wheeler i could use it for. may be useful if i ever get back in a hunting club etc or a golf cart type shite. Nothing really major planned nor a daily usage type trailer.

Square tubing rail is better than angle iron. Pipe rail is better than square tubing.

For that setup, get a 3500lb axle and pipe rails with LED lights

THIS^^^^^^

Get more than you think you'll need because you'll have a single point of failure on single axle trailer.

pipe frame over angle iron if you can do it. I like Tophat trailers, but mfg probably wont matter for as small a trailer as you are talking about. Treated lumber on the deck. Maybe look for tie down points- more the better.

When I had my trailer, the angle iron indicated it was a light duty axle. The pipe frame were for the heavy duty axle (3500#). So, like everyone here is telling you, go with the pipe frame and heavy axle, get more than you need.

It is like a truck, everyone will want to borrow and haul heavier stuff than you currently have

I don't get why people pay thousands for a new flatbed trailer when you can get a used one for $500. ( I bought a 16x8 flat for $650 and a 8x5 flat for $450. Both on CL)

One needed new bearings. I just bought spares for each.

I too was in the market for a new trailer and then was put on to how many trailers there are in the used market that have barely been used

you must not be reading the same craigslist as I am...

there are idiots asking withing $100-$200 for really used trailers of what you can buy them for brand new...

been searching for a while and still haven't found a good deal

I also searched craigslist without any good deals to speak of. I ended up buying a 6x10 angle iron for $999... Hauls lawn mower or side by side just fine.

Its been a few years since I have looked on CL but when I was in the market I looked for several months and could never find a good deal either.
