Thanks Guys. I got a visual. Looks like we got some. Now we need the all-important second rain.

I re-disked everything and planted Saturday. Hopefully we’ll get a couple light rains in the next week or so. Nov 2 is the Latest I ever planted.

Got all our seed drilled and broadcasted this past weekend. Feels good. Soil was moist but the tractor could get though it without sticking to tires.
Actually went really heavy with the seed.
In our broadcasted plots (the ones with too many stumps or too remote) I hope the birds don’t get to it before the next rain
I did notice germination in my clover plots

Potential tropical storm south of Cuba may be heading this way and bring rain next weekend.
Edit: The "potential" tropical storm is now Tropical Storm Raphael

Checked my plots west of Woodville today. I swear they grew an inch overnight. Planted and covered last weekend. A little more rain this week and I should be in good shape.

one silver lining to all this warm weather is that stuff should really be able to get some good growth in before cool weather slows it down....if the worms don't get it anyway.

thank the good Lord it's raining! I may have timed it right for once! Its been a few years since we've had good plots
And I did it all without rye grass
Excited to produce some food for the poor animals

I'm waking up early and driving to SW MS Thursday morning. Going to reseed before the weekend rain.
