If you can drill 3/4 inch or more yes, if broadcast no.
Morning dew will germinate seed on surface, then it’ll die. Seed drilled will not germinate with dew.

My mom sold our little camp on Emerald State Line road last year. Our friends live on Osyaka progress right past Oakhill and Smith Alford on the left. Another friend is across the street by the huge cellphone tower.

Its actually 67% on the 30th. That last weekend will hopefully be good to plant

The forecast for rain has been pushed back a couple of days and while the likelihood for rain looks good - 59% chance on Thursday 10/31 and 84% on Friday 11/1 - the amount of rain forecast don't look like much more than a heavy dew!

Decisions, decisions......

At least we're not reliving last years' drought!

We planted in Central MS a few weeks ago, have had no rain, but surprisingly, a good bit of germination is taking place and we are getting some green. Won’t drop the 13-13-13 until rain is predicted (which we sorely need)

We’re in a dry spell but it’s nothing like last year. We only had a week or so of 100 degree day versus two months last year. We also received a considerably more rain this July than last

No precipitation in the 15-day forecast for South MS/AL. This will be the latest we've ever planted.

I planted last weekend of September in pretty saturated soil. We had decent summer rains. The food plot germinated but died without any rain. Thinking about throwing clover or rye if we ever get rain in the forecast.

Need to start getting rain soon or we will have another duckless dry swamp duck season.

November 1-5 looks to be a decent chance of rain.

It’s going in the ground no matter what that week.

I burned off my 8 plots Saturday. I had too much debris on the ground to drill through. Hoping to plant within the next 7-10 days.

Latest forecast for Centreville, MS has a 63% chance on Monday, Nov.4 with .25" forecast - that would be great but I don't put a lot of faith in a 2-week forecast!

Unless it says 0% rain in the next ten days. You can write it in ink.

Never a surprise rain lol

It's almost back to 0% now.

Just yesterday there was a 63% chance of rain on 11/4. Today it's down to a 6% chance... and that's the highest number in the entire 15-day forecast

I would put in the ground and make sure it’s covered food.
A morning dew will not germinate your seed as dry as it is.

Not looking good for rain anytime soon fellas. We planted the week before opening day of gun season last year. We are well on our way to that again this year.
