Bought myself an HK SP5 for Christmas and now I'm ready to buy a can for it. I'm tentatively deciding between the SiCo Omega 9k, DA Wolfman or Otter Creek Lithium 9.

Any suggestions or thoughts?

My vote would be for the Otter Creek Lithium 9

Otter Creek or wait for the new specterscat MOB at the end of the month. Their stuff is living up to the hype more than any silencer i've seen with their surge bypass tech.

Roller delayed guns suppress well. I honestly wouldn't lose a ton of sleep over what can you buy. They all work well on that host. Weight, length and attachment system would be my primary concern.

Exactly …that’s why I like Lithium 9 it weighs 5.7 ounces, it’s a sweet suppressor

Go with whatever system has the best 3 lug setup.

I bought the SP5k last year. I have a Dead Air Ghost-m on mine. I will get a dedicated 9mm can at some point now that I have the SP5k and APC9

ETA: I just saw that PEW Science shot the new Spectercat CAT/SR/A1 and said it was the quietest silencer they have tested ever.

Specterscat is the real deal. One of the few companies to live up to the hype. Gonna try and demo some of their stuff soon.

The consensus on HK Pro and elsewhere (for a while at least) was the Wolfman and that's what I got. DA has since fallen out of fashion mostly due to the Sierra debacle, but it's still a great sub gun can and you can't really find people who've had issues.

Finding a tri lug adapter was a PITA but otherwise it's a great set up.

Anyone put an Acro P2 on their SP5?

specterscat MOB

This is why I ask these questions over multiple websites. I knew nothing about specterscat till I read this.

I love the plain Jane look of the Otter Creek and I'm leaning that way but I'm gonna wait for some more reviews of the specters cat before I drop any money.

If you don’t have the tri-lock hub, you’ll have to buy one at $150+.

That’s where I learned that dead air screws you if you want to use a silencer on several guns and they have different connections.

Also the SP5 can either be tri-lug or direct attached with 1/2x28

What did you end up going with and have you tested it out?

Tri lug is the only way to go unless it’s going to be specific to the gun. I have a tri lug setup on 2 guns and it’s nice. I use a Octane 9 with the tri lug adapter for AR 9 SBR and Scorpion SBR.

Have a Wolfman on my SP5 and love it. Rarely if ever use it in long configuration on any platform.

If I were buying today I'd likely go w/ the Otter Creek Lithium 9 for the weight savings and similar performance vs wolfman in the short configuration
