Well, I fish a large private lake that got taken over by grass. Stocked with carp and the fishing couldn't be better. This body of water is very, very similar to SB. So there you have example #1 of it working.

As early as April of this year, I could not get from the man made canal to Grand Lac. Not saying it was tough. I could not get to it. Places Mung as i caught perch in 2012 were a mat in 2013. After the first stocking of carp.

A buddy there does the "mow the grass clippings into the lake" thing and watches the carp catch them before they hit the water. (slightly exaggerated)

Has the issue with the grass had any effect on ducks using the area or duck hunting in general, other than access issues.
