Sportsman's Guide ammo order

.308 steel-cased ordered in December. Delivery has been pushed back twice, which I'm OK with. I email them every time to that effect and they reply back with assurances. Until this time. I just received the following reply:
Am I fricked and they just don't have the courage to tell me?

Hello Springfied XD
Thank you for your email.
Presently ammunition is in very high demand and our goal is to fill every order but with the short supply back order dates might be pushed out or even cancelled if we are unable to get the product.
Item number 147965 from your order, 91719448, is still on backorder. The backorder date has not been updated because we are still expecting this shipment or waiting to hear from the vendor what the new date is. If the date changes by 21 business days you will be notified with an FTC (Federal Trade Commission) notice which will ask whether or not you would like to keep the item on backorder. We will need a response within 10 days or we are required to cancel per FTC regulations.
I do apologize for the frustration this has caused you and hope you can understand that we are working with our suppliers to provide the swiftest shipment possible. Please remember that we do not charge for backorders until we can ship. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.
Am I fricked and they just don't have the courage to tell me?

I think it is obvious that if they can't get the product, they can't ship it to you. Not like they have ammo sitting around and are just slow on getting it out. I wouldn't worry about it. If they get it, they will ship it.

I've gotten the same thing on my .223 rounds that have been on order since 12/20...pushed back twice. It's aggravating

I'm not in a hurry for it, but the can't just frick me and cancel the order. I've bought plenty of steel-cased .308 since placing this order. Before thy just give up and say, "frick you," they should go buy from the suppliers I'm buying from to cover this order.

I've gotten ~4-5 emails on my various backorders saying that the date has been pushed back. Online vendors have no way of giving an exact date of in stock so the dates we are given are estimates. Obviously due to demand, estimates have been way off

I appreciate you and others sharing similar stories as this. For that reason I have not spent money on ammo unless I (or someone for me) can walk out with it in hand.

Not sure exactly when I ordered it, but this is the notification I just got. Hope it gives you some reassurance.
