Im out of my contract with AT&T. I might try to find cheaper but Im worried about coverage. I also do not trust coverage maps. What do you guys have?

(Im looking to stay Inshore)

There's really only 2 companies, Verizon and AT&T. I switched from Verizon to AT&T years ago and won't be going back. I like my unlimited data plan. Verizon does seem to work out in remote places a little better than AT&T but not much.

AT&T works fine where I fish - Terrebonne.

AT&T is decent for inshore. Service is in and out around the barrier islands.

Is there any good service provider for the islands? Seems like a ways from any towers.

AT&T is the best in south Louisiana.

Verizon has the best coverage at the islands from coon point to fourchon. I have ATT and my coverage was garbage all last weekend but the guys on the boat with verizon had coverage the whole time.

Same. Never had a problem fishing anywhere in SLA.

I've got Verizon unlimited everything, and it has worked almost everywhere. Only areas that I consistently don't have service are a large chunk in the middle of the basin and I also lose service when it switches towers from Mandeville to Metairie on the Causeway, but that is only for a couple of seconds

Get a Wilson signal booster if you're that concerned

I've got AT&T with work and Verizon for personal. I carry both. Never lost service with either when staying anywhere in the marsh.

I had AT&T but switched to Verizon recently after hardly having service when I went fishing.
