re: softshell turtle, its whats for dinner...

Let me know how it tastes. I caugh a 5 lb softshell and have 4 lbs of meat from it in the freezer. Waiting til it cools off enough to cook it outide.

Love turtle but have never eaten softshell. Hear it's better than snapping turtle but one friend told me he thought it was a bit stronger.

Don't think I could eat turtle SOUP though. Rice and gravy for me.

The two I cleaned today went about 8lbs.
The two yesterday, one was 6 and one was 15lbs. Will run everything again in yhe morning.

Nah.

I did boil the meat for about an hour to tenderize though.

Battered it and fried it after that.
Insanely good.
