Probably saw 10 different snakes. Racers, banded water snakes, diamond back water snakes, cottonmouth(he luckily got away), ribbon and a racer

Had one like that climb in my boat over the weekend. Didn’t know he was there hiding in my life vest. (I take it off while fishing)

Was checking crawfish traps a few days ago and had a FAT cotton mouth in one of the traps. Caught me off guard so I threw the trap and it got away.

Saw two hitting the sun yesterday while baiting hog traps. Turkey hunters pay attention.

I killed a 18" copperhead last weekend at the back of my yard. Have some wood limbs that needed removal and he was hanging around there. My first snake of the year.

Copperheads are bad about that, and they blend in so well. You really have to looking well to see one. They're real good climbers too.

Yesterday, we saw a king snake and a black snake that moved so fast into a pile of cut down limbs. Would that be a black racer?

I was tilling the garden last Saturday. On my next pass around I looked down and there was one looking like the "don't tread on me snake".
