Silencer Shop Question

I've been pending ATF since 2/8. I see they're working on my date range currently, but the Tax Stamp still shows as "In Progress".
Do they process the Tax Stamp the day or two before they do the approval or is it done well in advance?

The approving of the tax stamp is the approval IIRC. Once it’s approved they usually mail out within 30 days.

Im in the same boat as you. Have one submitted 2/7 and one submitted 2/9. Both still waiting for approval. Mine says they same as yours. Its frustrating seeing people who submitted theirs in april getting approved before people who submitted in Feb.

Also I believe the rep for SS on reddit said you'll be contacted by your FFL (or maybe you just get an email from the ATF if you eFile) about your approval before SS finds out. The ATF does not contact SS

My paper Form 4 has been pending since May 2021. Contacted my congresswoman and the ATF told her staffer it was still pending, but the FBI instructed the ATF to proceed on 5/10/22. So I've been in the 'final stage' for 2 months now. This system is a joke

The system is not consistent nor fair. They used to be handled regionally, but I am not sure if they are still like that, some agents just approve faster than others.

You will get an email when its approved. I printed mine out and brought it to straight my dealer. Got my can that day. That was over two weeks ago. They still haven't updated my info on the silencer shop page so I wouldn't rely on that.

Update: Went pending with ATF on 2/8/2022. EForm/ Trust/ SilencerShop.
Tax Stamp was approved on July 1st, but the gun shop I used for my FFL had an issue with their system and just notified me today. 113 days from pending to approved.
All for something that shouldn't be a legal process anyways. Either way, happy stamp day to me.

My check was cashed on 1/18/22 with an Efile-4 and I'm still waiting. Suppressor + trust + silencer shop. I must have something on my record holding things up. Or maybe my ATF reviewer caught several COVIDs.

Random question for y’all….is it the same price no matter the gun you are putting it on? I have never ordered anything like this. Only shot a .22LR with a silencer. Was awesome.
I ask because I am about to buy my first AR and this may be something added down the line.
