Just started, normally theres a thread. Not a whole lot of interest this year. I havent even looked at whats being thrown out there.
Until I found the Keltec CP33. 22lr pistol. Ive been wanting to get a 22 pistol, just never could pick one out. This looks like it.
Keltec
Also, PTR is coming out with a HK MP5 clone, msrp was like $1899 though.

I’m interested in thermals...pulsar has a new one coming out shaped like a regular scope.

I was just listening to a shot show preview heard that ATN is releasing a new thermal that is apparently “budget priced”. Didn’t much information besides that.
Speaking of shot show I just ordered a lower from palmetto that was in their “shot show” specials email. Think it’s going to be the beginning of a 6.5 Grendel or 6.8 SPC.

Winchester is supposedly revealing their new ‘350 Legend’ round. It’s based on the .223 case from what I can tell, and will be the worlds fastest straight-walled cartridge. There are a few bold claims about its performance floating around so I’m interested to see what kind of velocities they are getting. May just all be hype tho.

I heard about that as well. I can tell you off the top I don’t like the cheesy name. 35 Legend!

Not really sure what Winchester is claiming here
A good 30-30 load is just as powerful at 200 yards if not more so. That popular Hornady load is doing 1200 ft/lbs for a 20” barrel @ 200 yards

Yea this is the main reason I was wanting to see some real data. I just don’t see how they can possibly live up to all their claims.

They claiming they are tired of hornady generating all the firearms buzz. Make a new round give it a slick name get a ton of people to buy it quit making ammo for it. Rinse An repeat

That’d be a nice primitive round.

The blurb I read is that it would be pushed as AR platform round. Not sure what states would allow it ??!!
So a quick google showes that states like Iowa and Ohio recently allowed straight wall cartridges for deer. Not in the primitive weapon form but just in general. So now instead of being held to only shotgun this would be an acceptable cartridge.
So yeah I would see the value An would want one.

Hmmmmm......sounds an awful lot like a reincarnation of the 357 Remington Maximum, but w/ a rimless case. The 357 Rem Max uses a rimmed 357 Mag case that's lengthened a good bit to increase case powder capacity. The 223 Rem, 357 Mag and 357 Maximum have the same diameter case head. The 357 Max has a small, but devoted following amongst handgun hunters (especially w/ the T/C Contender). I've never shot a 357 Max, but it's very well respected amongst those who hunt w/ it. t's ballistics are usually from a 10-14" barrel. Your screen shot doesn't cite the barrel length, but I read elsewhere that a 20" barrel was used.. I'll bet the 350 is loaded to higher pressures than the 357 Max, as well. It'll be interesting to see what the actual velocities are. The exact ballistics are sketchy right now as the main gist is comparing to other, well established hunting rounds. Looks like the 350 will be directed towards: the states that require rifle cartridges to have straight side walls; the AR crowd.
ETA: Looks like autocorrect changed Maximum to Magnum multiple times. I'll just abbreviate it to Max instead.

I thought about trying to get a budget entry level one but the more I look around the more I think buy once cry once and get at least a 640. I got a PSA lower too...damn meme snek lower finally drew me in for a 450 bushmaster build possibly I grabbed it in case I decide to use it.

I'm interested in seeing a little more about the Walther steel frame Q5 match.

On the other end of the spectrum, Hi Point is supposedly going to reveal a redesigned, "modern" pistol.
Their guns are hideous, but they do work and they have a no-questions-asked lifetime warranty for about $150. I'm curious about how the new one looks.

Ha ha, the new Hi Point reveal!
Doublestack magazine with a rail, place to attach a red dot sight, and a threaded barrel
Actually, despite how ugly it remains... that's a good platform for a suppressor.

And if you dont like it, bring it to a new orleans gun buy back and get $500.

I figured you would be all over the new DD bolt rifle.

Its a cool concept. Seems like they are going after the hunting crowd and Seekins Havak rifle.
Part of me thinks it wont sell. If people dig they can build a better rifle for about the same with more readily available parts.
