Shopping for a CC handgun- What is your go to and why?
First, for handguns in general, where do you make your purchase? I want to avoid Cabella's and Bass Pro. I hear good things about gun.deals site.Has anyone had any bad buying experiences? Places you do not recommend?

Second, I am torn between the following options:
Glock 43X
Glock 48
Sig365
S&W M&P Sheild M2.0
Glock 19 G5
Springfield Armory Hellcat

What are you favorite cc handguns and why?

if i bought another one, it would be between the sig365 and hellcat.

i own the walther pps m2 le version. No complaints. Pretty ergonomic has different magazine capacity options.

I carry a sig P229 probably 80% of the time, and a s&w shield the other 20.

I like DA/SA guns because I feel like they are the best compromise between safety and simplicity in a semi auto. I like full sized guns for the capacity and shootability.

I carry the shield when my clothes don't allow for the full size gun, which isnt all that often.

Get a VP9sk or the sig.

You want something comfortable to shoot so you don’t mind putting in the practice time you need with it. Extended mags can make that a much more enjoyable endeavor. JMO.

This video is great. Accuracy and speed, Grip is why you miss

I know it’s a bit off topic, just something to think about when looking at a pistol you’re intending to shoot well.

Glock 48 with Shield Arms 15 round magazine. Essentially you get a thinner grip, thinner slide, longer barrel but shorter slide than a Glock 19 with the same capacity. All those minute differences add up when carrying.

I have these three and carry the 43 most of the time. I do carry the 19 when colder weather allows heavier clothing. I've shot the 365, and if I were buying today that would probably be my choice.

I mainly carry a Kel Tec .32 now since I’m lazy. Out of your choices though, I’d go with the 43X. There are 15 round mags for it now too.
As for buying, use Gun Deals to compare prices and shipping. I’ve used Smoky Mountain Guns and Mr Gun Dealer lately for free shipping. And then call around in your area to compare transfer fees.

And the best way to search on Gun Deals is by UPC.

Ruger LC9s or Kahr CM9. The Kahr is tiny and easy to carry. The Ruger is slim with a great trigger unlike the original LC9. Don't own the Hellcat yet.

Scratch the hellcat, put the rest in a hat and draw one out. The rest are all fine pistols.

I personally carry an M&P9 Compact.

What about the 48?

I wouldn't say not to get one, but I don't have enough experience with the 48 to recommend it.

There are 15 round mags for it now that still sit flush with the grip.

Thanks for the responses. It seems the majority would go SIG and I really enjoyed shooting that gun at the range.
Hellcat had one for and one against.
S&W Shield is attractive due to price point, but only has one mention.

Also, a big thanks for the gun buying sites and gun deal tip for searching by UPC. That site isn't the most intuitive.

Springfield pistols are fine for range guns and gun games but I don't trust them as a self defense gun. The Hellcat MIGHT be better than other Springfield options since they ditch the troublesome grip safety, but I would wait for them to establish a long term reputation for reliability.

A Taurus .380 most of the time because it's easy. I have a wallet holster that fits in my back pocket, it goes BOOM every time I pull the trigger and it's pretty accurate for its size.

I also have a LC9s that I Cary in a nice owb holster but 90% of the time it's the .380 because it's easy. I hate IWB holsters fwiw.
