You only have two choices. Why people continuously recommend Hunter's Run and Precision I do not know. I am assuming those people have never been to either range and therefore know nothing about them. At hunter's run you have to be a member ($250/year) as mentioned previously. Also, their range is very very shitty. At precision their farthest 2 lanes are 25 yards. You can't accurately sight a rifle in at 25 yards. Hope this helps.
Sherburne WMA is where I always go. It's about a 40 minute drive on 190 right before Krotz Springs. It's free, goes out to 100 yards, never crowded and you can pretty much do whatever you want. The other option is Palo Alto Rifle and Pistol Club. It's near Donaldsonville and is members only (250 per year), but the range is supposedly awesome, it has varying distances up to 600 yards and they do a bunch of events there year round. I've never been but am thinking about joining.

Went out there last weekend and it was pretty crowded on the rifle range. It was also the first nice weekend we've had in a while though. Pistol range wasn't crowded at all.

One other that hasn't been mentioned is the Ascension Parish Sheriff Range. Only opened on the second and forth Thursday of each month from 2-6PM. Freaking stupid arse hours, but it's a nice range.
Just before you get to Lamar Dixon on the left.
