Anyone have any recommendations on where to sell or trade a brand new 6.5 creedmore i have. Looking for something with a little more knock down for the wife. I know the 6.5 will be fine with the right shot placement, but shes a female and just getting into hunting so you know how that goes. So far she has harvested 3 deer. One with a 7mm-08 that i borrowed from a friend. One with a .243 that i borrowed from a friend. This year she killed a decent buck with my .308 from when i was a kid. But of course, being a woman she wants "her own" i bought this 6.5 because i came across a good deal but i think i want something different for her.

Guntrader. I bought one yesterday (I'm in Austin) and it was easy.

List of on Louisiana sportsman if your in Louisiana.
If you have any ammo list it as well, that alone may make the sale for you.

Keep the 6.5 and just get another. Never sell a gun.

She definitely needs a .400 NE or a .416 Rigby.

Anything over 100 horsepower will smooth out anything that will stand there long enough for you to hit it. I like the M series deeres

I'd keep the 6.5 and buy her a Weatherby Vanguard Camila in your choice of caliber (7-08, .243, .308,or 6.5)
I bought my wife one and it has a stock designed to fit a woman's frame. She likes it much better than the Model 7 I had her shooting and it doesn't fit me at all. It wasn't bad last year, I think I gave $700 and there may be other companies designing a stock just for women.

I would say she needs to work on shot placement before worrying about “knockdown power”. Last deer my wife shot with her 6.5 dropped in it’s tracks. Let her practice with the gun and get comfortable with it, and she’s all good. I shot a doe last weekend and pulled the shot; ran 50 yards from where she was hit. Doesn’t matter how heavy a bullet if she’s making bad shots.

She has never made a bad shot. She has shot 3 times and killed 3 deer. One deer ran 30 yards the others never took another step. Im comfortable in her shooting a deer, i want to make sure if she does make a bad shot, that we have the best odds to find the deer.

She has never made a bad shot but you are going to get something with more recoil?
Why not stick with what she used the other 3 times?

Any thing with "more knockdown power" (fictional phrase) will have more recoil. A 6.5 creedmoor is in the same area as all of the calibers she has already used. If for whatever reason you want to get something new just get one of the calibers she already used.

I realize that. the point of the post was to get information on possibly selling or trading the gun for something different, such as the calibers she has killed deer with before.

well "knock down" is one of those phrases that shows you are not informed on this topic. So that was the way I approached your post.
similar to if someone refers to concrete as cement.

You get the point of "knock down". The .308 is going to do a little more damage at 100 yards than a 6.5 would do because of the weight of the lead coming from the casing. Therefor if she by accident sends a 180 grain piece of lead through the guts or shoulders, its going to hurt a little more than a 120-140 grain piece of lead. Thats what knock down means.

We get that you don't know what the hell you're talking about.
How's that?
What is the speed of the 6.5cm vs the .308 at 100yds?

The speed of the 6.5 is going to be a lot higher than the .308
