I had read a little bit about that.
How hot was it when you did it?
I was thinking if I do it in the next week or so when its 70* it would mitigate that vs doing it when its 97* and sunny in a few months.

I should have added that my boat is covered in a tarp under my carport when not in use. So almost no sun when I am not using it.
I made a "rolling pin" out of a concrete core cylinder with bolts to roll it down tight. Cleaned with acetone before applying glue.

Buddy just priced HT for his 20’x96” tritoon $1,500.00
That sounds like a pretty good price to me if the boat has a lot of things to trim around.

My H7 Xpress came with SeaDek, and I love it. I’ve also installed HydroTurf in some boats in the past and it was good stuff.

I have Safe Floor. Have 2 friends that also have it on their boats. We are all happy. It looks sweet and it removes alot of the maintenance part out of cleaning your boat. Feels nice on the bare feet as well. My 9 year old was getting drug into the water by a bull red Friday and luckily his foot caught the safe floor on the lip of the bow which stopped him sliding off the ice chest he was standing on for sight fishing lol (drag was tight and he is really small for his age)

I had Gray Seadek in my last bay Boat. Everything shows. Everything stains. only way to to get it out was a pressure waters, and only some stains come out. Fish blood. good luck if it dries.
If i jumped in my boat with my shoes on at the house it would leave a mark. and would not come out with a brush and soap.
I bought the boat with the seadek in it so it was old, but still, i would never own a boat with it installed. Plus, once its down its a PIA removing it.

He stripped the deck so application will be easy. Pretty sure I layed mine in April or May don’t let the sheets get hot.

I just did Seadek HD on my 22' skeeter bay boat for about $4k. I had the brushed Seadek helm pad, and it was comfortable to walk on but a lot of work to keep clean. The HD material is much more maintenance friendly. In BR area Southern Cooler will come to you to template and install.

I did my 18’ mud boat in hydro turf myself in 21. It has held up great sorted in the sun a lot with almost no stains. Bought the “blem” light grey material think it was $500 and had almost a whole sheet left over. The 3m backed material hasn’t had any edges peeling and I don’t not baby this boat.

I had the Marine Deck Mat system in my old Yamaha 195 FSH jetboat. It snapped into the floor. I had the boat 5 years since new and the only issue I had over the time was caused by me holding the dam power washer to close for to long and it tore a small piece of the mat. I loved the fact that it snapped in, made cleaning the boat's decks super easy. Not sure what that system costs as it came with the boat from Yamaha.

Call Captain Ronnie Daniels in Pass Christian. He has a company that installs a more durable version of seadek that is better and cheaper. His guide service is Fisherman Guide Service. Great dude.

Had mine sprayed with truck bed liner. Stuff is indestructible. Actually made the hull feel stiffer. On 2000 kenner 23' rolled edge hull

Did most of my install yesterday.
I wrestled with how to make stencil like a moron for about an hour.
Then realized it is easier to lay out giant pieces of paper, and fold them along the edges and tape to themselves to get straight lines and sides instead of trying to use a straight edge and cut the paper.
Have one compartment lid I cut maybe 1/2" short. But other than that it looks really good.
My hull is all welded aluminum so I just scrubbed each spot with acetone really well before installing. Seems to have stuck really well. Have a few more pieces and the floor around console to do and I'll be done.
Total install time for an 18' aluminum side console will probably be 6-8ish hours. I would imagine somebody who has done it before would shave some off that.
